1. NCDHHS Launches Spring/Summer Community Campaign to Promote COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters

On Tuesday, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services launched Spring into Summer, a community campaign focused on increasing rates of COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters for adults and children. Learn more about the campaign here.

2. HHS Announces Funding for Substance Use Treatment and Prevention Programs

On March 15, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), announced two grant programs totaling $25.6 million that will expand access to medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder and prevent the misuse of prescription drugs.
