NCMS Accreditation Resources
The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) is designated by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as a Recognized Accreditor. In this role, NCMS accredits CME providers who focus on serving learners in North Carolina and contiguous states, such as community hospitals, state specialty societies, area health education centers and county medical societies.
As a Recognized Accreditor, NCMS uses the ACCME accreditation rules and an equivalent decision-making process to evaluate CME providers. This ensures that all NCMS accredited providers are held to the same high standards as ACCME-accredited or other state-accredited providers.
