(Morehead City) — The North Carolina Medical Society Foundation is happy to help the Carteret County Clinic for Adolescents and Children after a devastating fire in April. On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, NCMS Director of Membership, Frank Snyder delivered a check to help with the rebuilding process.
The fire resulted in a total loss for the clinic, yet within 72 hours it was reopened in a temporary location. Of the rebuilding, Dr. Margaret Merrick, a provider at the practice, says: “Of course, it is going to be a long process, but the community has been very supportive, and we have a great team with a very positive outlook.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
