Stanford University is now accepting applications for the first ever Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) fellowship program in the world, an effort the North Carolina Medical Society proposed in 2021.
This opportunity is made possible thanks to a grant from the North Carolina legislature to the North Carolina Medical Society and the Neuroimmune Foundation.
Launching this fellowship is a huge step in setting up patient-centered PANS clinics treating children and adults in insurance-based settings around the country. Applicants are required to make a commitment to practice in North Carolina.
