1. Nominations Now Open for NCMS Leadership PositionsThe call for nominations for individuals to serve on the NCMS Board of Directors and NC American Medical Association Delegation are now open. 2. AMA Delegate Apportionment for 2022The American Medical Association has provided delegate apportionment figures for 2022. Under Bylaw 2.1.1.2.1.1 constituent society delegations are no smaller than they were in 2020, and this year the 54 states and territories in the House of Delegates will be apportioned 306 delegates, which is the same as last year. Questions about the delegate apportionment process or the credentialing process should be directed to Roger Brown, Director, Office of House of Delegates Affairs, at 312-464-4344 or by email to [email protected]. 3. Stroke Advisory Council Call for NomineesThe NCMS has the opportunity to appoint an NCMS Member to the Stroke Advisory Council. The council was established in 2006 to advise the Justus-Warren Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force on the development of a statewide system of stroke care and a system for identifying primary stroke centers. Physicians interested in the Stroke Advisory Council position should complete the application form and return it to Evan Simmons, [email protected], by Friday, February 18th.
