Do you have experience running your practice or another organization? Consider volunteering for the NCMS Finance Committee!
The NCMS Finance Committee, charged with providing financial oversight for the organization, meets virtually once per quarter. Typical agenda items include reviewing financial reporting, ensuring the operating budget meets the Society’s goals, and setting long-range financial goals along with funding strategies to achieve them.
NCMS Secretary-Treasurer John J. Meier, Jr. chairs the Finance Committee. “The NCMS does a lot of really amazing work on very limited resources,” says Dr. Meier. “Our members may be very surprised to learn more about how far dues dollars and other revenue sources are stretched to meet our needs. I encourage members with an interest in seeing our organization grow to reach out and participate.”
Committee members must be NCMS members. If you are interested in learning more or being appointed to the Finance Committee, contact Shawn Scott at [email protected].
