United Health Foundation released its in-depth look at prevention measures across all 50 states recently. 2016 America’s Health Rankings Spotlight: Prevention looks at health care access, immunizations and chronic-disease prevention.
Among key findings, the report shows that use of important clinical preventive services is uneven and varies by income, education and geography, with Hispanics accessing preventive services less than non-Hispanic white and non-Hispanic black adults. It also finds that New England states perform best in prevention measures, and that there is significant variation among states when it comes to immunizations.
