CMS Now Accepting Applications for the ACO Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (ACO REACH) ModelThe Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMS Innovation Center) is now accepting applications for the recently announced Accountable Care Organization Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (ACO REACH) Model for Performance Year (PY) 2023. Details on the model, as well as eligibility requirements can be found in the Request for Applications (RFA). Interested stakeholders should submit their application via web portal by April 22, 2022 at 11:59 PM EDT.
4. Trends in Payor Audits and DisputesPhysician practices are often no stranger to government and commercial payor audits. The AMA’s prerecorded webinar, “Trends in Payor Audits and Disputes,” reviews trends in both Medicare reimbursement audits and commercial payor audits and provides actionable overall strategies for audit response. Presenters also touch on the topics of cross-plan offsetting as it relates to the practice of payor audits, as well as the practice of recovering overpayments. Attendees will learn about strategies for responding to payor audits, understand the impact of audits on a practice, and identify ways to minimize the burden in responding to the audit request. To accompany this presentation, the AMA has developed a checklist that helps practices respond effectively to payor records requests while minimizing the administrative burden associated with responding to such requests.
