That the North Carolina Medical Society supports the implementation of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in all middle and high schools in North Carolina, training of school staff to operate the AED devices, and the adoption by each school of an emergency action plan for the use of AED devices; and

That the North Carolina Medical Society supports the widespread availability of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
