HB 886 – Excise Tax Increases for Substance Abuse

This bill would increase certain excise taxes to provide funding for substance use programs and services.
The bill would increase the excise tax on tobacco products from 12.8 percent to 15 percent. The bill would increase the excise tax on vapor products from 5 cents to 7 cents.
This bill has been referred to the House Finance Committee.
