1. Key Facts on Health and Health Care by Race and EthnicityThe COVID-19 pandemic has brought the issue of disparities in health and health care into sharp focus. Review a summary of findings compiled by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) on these inequities in different populations. 2. Health Equity Technical AssistanceThrough the CMS Office of Minority Health, Health Equity Technical Assistance is available to health care organizations ready to systematically take action on health disparities. The program offers personalized coaching and resources on developing a health equity strategic plan; resources on improving care for the populations we represent, and rural populations; data collection and analysis; and help developing a language access plan.

Understanding and Addressing Racial Disparities in Cancer Outcomes, Care, and Treatment, Thursday, February 3— 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ETKFF and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) are hosting a web event featuring oncologists, patient advocates, and policy researchers with expertise in equity and cancer care to examine persistent racial disparities in cancer. Expert panelists will share real-life experiences, provide context on the latest data, and discuss a range of actions which could help ensure that all individuals with cancer receive the highest quality, equitable cancer care and help to eliminate disparities in cancer outcomes.
