Depression is a common mental health condition that can affect how a person thinks, feels, and interacts with the world. It can affect anyone at any time.

Dr. Buongiorno has more than 30 years of clinical experience in the management of psychiatric disorders. He is recognized as an expert in psychopharmacology and psychodynamic psychotherapy and has taught psychiatric residents for many years. He is recognized nationally and lectures widely on a variety of topics including the pharmacologic treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, obsessive compulsive disorders, treatment resistant mood disorders and pharmacoeconomics. In addition, he has authored many clinical articles on a variety of psychiatric topics.
