NCTracks is conducting Regional NC Tracks Seminars to help educate new providers, billing staff of existing providers and serve as a refresher for current and experienced provider staff. The seminars will also allow an opportunity to meet the Regional Provider Relations Representatives. Each seminar runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2017 AMA Qualified Clinical Data Registry Conference, Tuesday, May 9, 1 to 5 pm CST, Chicago. This meeting will provide opportunities for the QCDR Steward Community to come together to share concerns, learn from others, and discuss the future of QCDRs in the CMS’ Quality Payment Program (QPP).  The AMA is working to provide support in order to increase both the breadth and depth of QCDR participation — more QCDRs with more participants in each. MAHEC, working with the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, The Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse and Project Lazarus: A Project of CCNC, is offering A Guide to Rational Opioid Prescribing for Chronic Pain, an online education course. The course is designed for all prescribing health care practitioners who are interested in an overview of the rational prescribing approaches for persons with chronic pain disorders. It will fulfill the North Carolina Medical Board’s requirement of at least one hour of continuing education designed specifically to address prescribing practices for chronic pain management.
