The NCMS has an opportunity to appoint a new member to the NC Commission for the Blind. The commission serves in an advisory capacity on issues relating to services for persons with disabilities, especially independent living programs and services. The council also develops and submits a state plan to monitor, review and evaluate such issues and programs.
