The North Carolina Medical Society recognizes March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. According to the CDC, colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer in men and women, and the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US.
It is considered “an equal opportunity killer.”
