On May 4, 2023, the Cleveland County Medical Society celebrated a resurgence and rebirth at the first meeting it has held in nearly 4 years!
Over the years activity and attendance had waned for CCMS. The latest meeting is the result of hard work by several members who understand the importance of a united front for healthcare professionals in both Cleveland County and across North Carolina.
The North Carolina Medical Society CEO Chip Baggett had the honor of being the first speaker at the meeting. He discussed how the world has changed so much since the 1990’s and the challenges of civilized rapport in our current divisive political climate. He reiterated the importance of a collective voice despite political differences and how that is what is best for both physicians and their patients.
