The NCMS currently manages 11 specialty societies, providing a wide range of services including advocacy, membership maintenance and recruitment, meeting management, legislative assistance, financial management, file management, communications production, and executive and clerical support.

The specialty societies managed by the NC Medical Society are independent membership organizations dedicated to serving the needs and interests unique to their respective specialties.  Membership in any specialty society is separate from membership in the NCMS.  The NCMS appreciates its collaborative relationships with all specialty societies.
