The NC Fourth of July Festival kicks off in Southport

For 228 years, the city of Southport has celebrated the Fourth of July in style!  It is now the official North Carolina 4th of July Festival and lasts for several days starting today.  There are events in Southport and Oak Island that include the famed arts and crafts fair at Franklin Square Park, a Naturalization Ceremony on the Fort Johnston Garrison Lawn, NC’s most patriotic parade, and a gala fireworks display!  Don’t miss it all weekend and into next week!  More information is here. 

Gavin DeGraw is at Fort Liberty

The Grammy award-nominated singer will play the Main Post Parade Field at Fort Liberty on July 4 at 6:45pm.  IT is called the 4th at the Fort Celebration and you can get more information here. 

Alicia Keys lands in Charlotte Sunday

It’s Barbie’s world and we’re just living in it!

Barbie’s DreamHouse is now available to rent on Airbnb! Pack your bags Barbie fans, this summer’s holiday destination is clear: The Malibu DreamHouse.  The pink pad will be available to rent in California this summer, but the house has been given a twist by Barbie’s beau Ken.  “Welcome to my Kendom! While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu DreamHouse this summer and my room could be yours for the night,” reads the listing.  In advance of the release of the Barbie movie on July 17, the famed house available for two one-night stays for FREE!
