NCMS is excited to welcome the 2027 Advocacy in Medicine Student Fellowship cohort! This year’s class brings together medical and PA students from across North Carolina who are passionate about healthcare policy and making a difference for their future patients and profession.
Throughout the fellowship, students will gain hands-on advocacy experience, learn about North Carolina’s legislative process, and connect with legislators and leaders in organized medicine. Fellows will also participate in the NCMS Legislative Reception and White Coat Day, giving them opportunities to put their advocacy skills into action.

Advocacy shouldn’t wait until after medical training. Through this fellowship, NCMS is investing in the next generation of physician and PA advocates who will help shape the future of healthcare in North Carolina.
We look forward to kicking off the program in February and working with this outstanding group of future healthcare leaders!
