NCMS Celebrates the Inauguration of Dr. Karen Smith
NCMS gathered at the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh on October 29 to celebrate the historic inauguration of Karen L. Smith, MD, FAAFP, as NCMS President.
Dr. Smith makes history as the first African American woman to serve as NCMS President, marking a significant milestone for the Society and organized medicine in North Carolina.
The evening concluded with remarks from Willie Underwood III, MD, President of the AMA, bringing a memorable close to the evening.
