The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) is seeking candidates to fill two board positions on the NC Commission for the Blind/Rehabilitation Council. The terms of the current two members will expire on June 30, 2016. The comission serves the Division on Services for the Blind in an advisory capacity on issues relating to services for persons with disabilities, especially independent living programs. The commission also develops and submits a state plan to monitor, review and evaluate such issues and programs. There are 13 members on the board, each serving a three-year term.
