Bill Summary
This bill directs the NC Policy Collaboratory at UNC – CH to assemble a research advisory panel to study and develop recommendations on strategies for implementation of a research program to determine whether any cancer clusters exist within the state.
The Collaboratory would be required to consult with the following experts:
- Department of Health and Human Services
- Department of Environmental Quality
- UNC School of Public Health
- UNC School of Medicine
- UNC Cancer Center
- Duke University School of Environment
- ECU School of Medicine
The final recommendations would be submitted by April 30, 2020.
