RESOLVED, That the North Carolina Medical Society supports instant background checks before purchase of a firearm; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the North Carolina Medical Society supports requiring an individual who resides with a minor and owns or possesses firearms to safely store firearms and ammunition to prevent an unsupervised minor to gain access to the firearms and ammunition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the North Carolina Medical Society supports educational programs addressing safe storage of firearms.
