Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Announces the Availability of $25.5 Billion in COVID-19 Provider Funding
The Biden-Harris Administration announced Friday, September 10, that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), is making $25.5 billion in new funding available for health care providers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NC HIEA and North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (NC AHEC) have partnered to provide you with a library of virtual and in-person training to show your practice how to use the many NC HealthConnex services. Curious how these trainings can help you? These offerings provide health care professionals with an introduction to NC HealthConnex and provide insight to the services offered and how they can serve your practice.

In addition, NC AHEC Practice Support is able to help practices with Medicaid managed care education and issue resolution at no cost to the practice. NC AHEC Practice Support coaches also provide assistance with best practices in implementing NC HIE into your workflow and quality improvement activities.
New Office Focused on Climate Change and Health Equity.
The Office of Climate Change and Health Equity (OCCHE) is here and committed to protecting communities most impacted by the health effects of climate change. The OCCHE addresses the impact of climate change on the health of the American people. The Assistant Secretary for Health wants to create an environment where every person is safe and healthy, and created this office to address this growing issue.
