1.  Navigating the Current Healthcare Landscape: COVID-19, Staffing Crisis, and Administrative Burden Webinar

Physician practices across the country continue to operate in an atmosphere of uncertainty, now compounded by a staffing crisis due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. In the latest AMA STEPS ForwardTM webinar, “Navigating the Current Healthcare Landscape: COVID-19, Staffing Crisis, and Administrative Burden,” attendees will hear about the current health care workforce landscape, how to plan for workplace shortages, and best practices in workplace safety and efficiencies for staff. The webinar will also feature practical, actionable resources to transform and improve your practice. Accompanying the webinar, the AMA has released an updated version of “A Physician Guide to Keeping Your Practice Open During COVID-19” to address concerns about workforce protection and retention during the pandemic.

2. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices 2022 Recommended Immunization Schedules

Changes in the 2022 immunization schedules for children and adolescents ages 18 or younger include new or updated recommendations for flu, dengue, and COVID-19 vaccines. Learn more about the changes.

Changes in the 2022 adult immunization schedule include new or revised recommendations for flu, hepatitis B, pneumonia and other vaccines. Learn more about the changes.

3.  Patient Resources: Help Paying Heating Bills Available

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) helps eligible households pay their heating bills by making a one-time payment directly to the heating vendor. Households that meet the eligibility criteria for LIEAP should contact their local Department of Social Services (DSS) to apply. Households can apply between now and March 31, or until funds are exhausted.
