1. 2022 Administrator of the Year Nominations

North Carolina Medical Group Management Association (NCMGMA) invites NCMS members to submit their nominations for 2022’s Administrator of the Year award.

Each year, NCMGMA and Curi recognize a healthcare administrator, affiliated with the NCMGMA, who has exhibited exceptional leadership management proficiency and enhanced the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in his/her practice and community through recent, noteworthy achievements.

2. The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act Receives Full Passage

The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act, (HR 1667) aims to reduce and prevent suicide, burnout, and mental and behavioral health conditions among health care professionals. Recently, The Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation released a press release, announcing full passage of the Lorna Breen Act! Review the press release here.

3. Healthy Blue Adds Known Issues Bulletin to Website

Healthy Blue, one of the NC Medicaid Pre-paid Health Plans, has implemented a “Known Issues Bulletin” to their website to inform providers of known issues that Healthy Blue is working to resolve. The table will be updated every Friday. Review the document here.
