Last week was ‘Get Smart Week 2016,’ a nationwide push to address antibiotic resistance and promote antibiotic stewardship spearheaded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NC Get Smart Campaign has been busy supporting the national activities for Get Smart Week and released new campaign materials and resources. Below are two Get Smart Week activities for your practice.
- The NC Get Smart Kids’ Artwork Competition winners have been selected. We had over 80 submissions and selected two winners per age group. The winning artwork submissions have been converted into posters that will be used as official NC Get Smart campaign materials. The winning posters are attached and can also be viewed here. If you would like to receive the Kids’ Artwork Competition posters to display within your facility, contact Kristin Pridgen, Public Health Educator at the NC Department of Health and Human Services.
- Antibiotic Ally providers have demonstrated their commitment to antibiotic stewardship through displaying posters and distributing antibiotic fact sheet handouts. Access these materials here.
