SB 428 – Chiropractor Parity and Preceptorships

This bill states that insurers would not impose a limitation on treatment or level of coverage of a co-payment amount charged to the insured chiropractic services that is higher than the co-payment amount charged to licensed primary care physicians for the same treatment.
This bill states that students enrolled in a chiropractic college that meets accreditation requirements may participate in a preceptorship program.
This bill would require students who participate in athletics to receive a medical examination at least once each calendar year. The bill states that the examination could be conducted by a physician, chiropractor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant licensed to practice in NC.
